hi, i'm carolyn

Product designer, former graphic designer and front-end developer, and forever a curious observer of how people interact with the world.

A big part of my work (and life) is designing for ease, for the moments when things just work and the user doesn’t have to think twice. It’s about noticing the friction they don’t, and removing it before it slows them down. And I’m currently looking for my next full-time role where I can keep designing with care.

in my off time

Scrapbooking and experimenting with mixed media. Capturing moments with my dear friends on film (see more in lens). Reorienting the layout of my living room for the 10th time. Writing and reading about manifesting and self-love on a blanket at the park. Making a bahn mi sandwich. Walking to soak in some sun before it sets. Swimming and running as my main forms of exercise. Trying on new outfits from my wardrobe. Dancing in my room to my latest song obsession on a loop until I'm sick of it.

what's a skill you're

excited to develop?

Storytelling. Or, in a broader sense, communication. Ideas come and go like little gifts from the universe, but actually getting them across? That’s the real challenge. Writing, drawing, or just talking things out helps me make sense of them—turning a fleeting thought into something real.

With that, I also would love to learn to draw animations, and learn about spatial design. I'm a big visual daydreamer, and even more so at night. The most abstract and insane visuals play in my head, and wouldn't it be nice to show people what I experience without having to explain? Time to learn the skills so I can.
